About Our Practice

Eye Pieces has two growing locations in Plano & Dallas Texas that offer a full range of eye health services to patients of all ages. We are excited for the opportunity to bring on a talented optometrist who will be working out of both locations as part of their set schedule.

We stand by one philosophy: Provide high quality eye care and offer superior products second to none. To be able to practice to the full extent of our philosophy we provide routine eye exams and vision tests, ocular disease screenings and treatment, co-management of diseases, emergency eye care and complete vision services. Our Plano location has a more family based patient population with patients ages typically in their 30s-50s. In Dallas there is a bit of a younger professional patient populations ages 20s-40s. Our Dallas location is the #1 prescriber of Dailies contact lenses in the area. We don't have a large pediatric demographic but we are able to provide pediatric exams when needed.

We have the best staff in the area who excels in providing outstanding customer services and is committed to delivering quality patient care. Our team works well together, as well as with patients to meet their needs and creating valuable doctor-patient relationships in our communities. Our support staff assists with handling all pre-testing so that our optometrists are able to dedicate 100% of their time and attention to examinations.

Plano and Dallas are both highly desirable areas due to the thriving businesses and residential communities in each city. Dallas is an especially booming city that is full of opportunities for both young and tenured professionals alike, and Plano is not far behind! Optometrist Job Duties & Responsibilities

We are searching for a talented OD to join our growing practice! You'll use your clinical and interpersonal skills to provide high-quality vision care to our patients. The ideal OD candidate is committed to delivering quality patient care, and is eager to learn and develop their clinical skill set. 

This is a full-time opportunity that will be scheduled to work at both of our Dallas and Plano offices which are about 30 minutes away from each other. You will be working 3 days per week in Dallas and 2 per week in Plano. Our offices are open Monday through Saturday but you will only be scheduled 5 days a week from 9am to 4:45 pm.

Your regular duties will include:

  • Perform comprehensive eye exams
  • Diagnose and assist in the treatment of ocular disease
  • Prescribe corrective lenses
  • Provide pre- and post-operative care to surgical patients
  • Promote healthy vision by counseling and educating patients
  • Maintain detailed patient records regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and progress
  • Handle eye care emergencies

Optometrist Job Requirements & Qualifications

  • Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree
  • Valid Texas state license to practice optometry
  • Glaucoma certification is required!
  • Ability to communicate with a wide range of patient personalities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A strong sense of workplace professionalism and personal ethics
  • Customer-service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills
