About Our Practice

Belle Plaine Eyecare Center is a unique, thriving practice that proudly serves the community of Belle Plaine. We are a full scope practice serving patients of all ages, and our doctors are equipped to see cases ranging from disease treatment and management, specialty contact lenses, and routine vision care. Our newest OD will be working alongside our supportive, passionate, & close-knit team. We collaborate with local Ophthalmologists and provide a flexible family atmosphere for our team. We offer 2 exam lanes fully equipped with the latest available technology to better support you and your patients, including:

  • Octopus Visual Fields
  • iVue OCT with Anterior Segment Module
  • Marco Corneal Topographer
  • Kowa Fundus Camera

Optometrist Job Duties & Responsibilities

We are searching for a talented OD to join our growing practice! You'll use your clinical and interpersonal skills to provide high-quality vision care to our patients. The ideal OD candidate is personable, flexible, and has the willingness to serve people with extraordinary care. 

If your long-time goals are to own the clinic you've always dreamed of having, then this is an incredible opportunity for you to pursue!

Your regular duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Perform comprehensive eye exams
  • Diagnosis, treatment and management of ocular disease
  • Prescribe corrective lenses
  • Provide pre- and post-operative care to surgical patients
  • Promote healthy vision by counseling and educating patients
  • Maintain detailed patient records regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and progress
  • Handle eye care emergencies

Optometrist Job Requirements & Qualifications

  • Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree
  • Valid MN state license to practice optometry or in the process of getting
  • Specialty contact lenses and/or ocular disease experience is a huge plus! But not required

Compensation and Benefits

We reward our doctors with competitive salaries $450 - $550 a day (commensurate with experience), productivity bonus, and benefits for both full-time and part-time employees such as:
